Carla Abellana has finally revealed who her presidential bet is as she questioned “bullying” that was being directed at women.

The actress donned a pink top while showing support for Vice President Leni Robredo via her Instagram page today, April 19. She used the hashtags “#LetLeniLead” and “#IpanaloNa10ParaSaLahat,” which are used by Robredo’s supporters.

Prior to this, Abellana called out “bullying” of women via her Instagram Stories yesterday, April 18.

“Mas madali talaga i-bully ang babae, ‘no?” she said. (It’s really easier to bully a woman, isn’t it?)

Actress Agot Isidro and comedian Pokwang were among those who thanked Abellana for supporting Robredo.

“Thank you my dear [Carla Abellana]. Mahal ka namin [ni Malia],” Pokwang said, referring to her daughter. Meanwhile, Isidro sent Abellana clapping emoji.

Fellow artists who have also publicly expressed their support for Robredo’s presidential bid include Angel Locsin, Piolo Pascual, Daniel Padilla, Nadine Lustre, Anne Curtis, Ben&Ben and Ely Buendia, among others.

Coincidentally, Abellana’s statement comes after Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso called on Robredo to withdraw from the presidential race, saying the move would be a “supreme sacrifice” on her part.

However, Domagoso’s running mate, Dr. Willie Ong, disagreed with the call for Robredo to withdraw. Fellow presidential candidates Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and former Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales, who were with Domagoso when he made the statement, also opted not to join Domagoso’s call.

Lacson said he was taken by surprise by Domagoso, but that he did not see malice in the comment, while Gonzales apologized to the vice president and stated he was “uncomfortable” with the withdrawal call.  /ra
