Criza Taa ignited curiosity on social media after dropping a cryptic remark about “hard work” allowing her to achieve a better life, after she was speculated to be the person whom “Pinoy Big Brother” housemates AC Bonifacio and Michael Sager referred to as a “show-off.”
Taa was alleged by netizens to be the topic of Bonifacio and Sager’s conversation about cringeworthy people who “flex” the things they bought on social media in one of the show’s episodes.
“For me, that’s a pet peeve or something I cringe at. Like people who flex and post [the things they bought],” Sager said.
This led Bonifacio to raise her arms in frustration, saying, “Ugh, I have a person in mind! I have a person in my mind who [when I look] all the time at this person’s [Instagram] Stories, it’s always, ‘Grabe, bumili ako ng ganito.’ ‘Grabe ang work ko.’ ‘Grabe, pagod na pagod na ako.’”
(Ugh, I have a person in mind! I have a person in my mind who when I look all the time at their Instagram Stories, it’s always, “Look at what I bought.” “This work is intense.” “Wow, I’m so tired.”)
Sager, agreeing with the Filipino-Canadian dancer, said he “followed” this person while noting that there are people who are “very expressive” about their lives. Despite this, Bonifacio reiterated that there’s a difference between being expressive and a “show-off.”
Neither Bonifacio nor Sager identified whom they were referring to. Despite this, their exchange earned backlash from netizens in the comments, with some speculating the dancer was referring to Taa since the latter was in a love team with the former’s boyfriend Harvey Bautista.

To note, Bonifacio and Sager are still following Taa on Instagram and vice versa.

A day later, Taa sparked further intrigue after uploading a photo of herself in a now-expired Instagram Story with Selena Gomez’s hit song “Who Says” as the background music.
“Who says you can’t be THE BEST? Who said?! This song has been my mantra growing up. Having to be the breadwinner in such an early age (14). Pure hardwork and independence brought me this far and I’m forever grateful for what I have now,” she wrote.
“[LISTEN] TO ME! If I can do it, who says you can’t?” she further added.

In a separate Story, Taa said “the world aligning” with her is due to her faith and perseverance.
“This world just always [aligns] with me. IT’S CALLED FAITH. This isn’t luck. This is pure perseverance,” she said.

Since Bonifacio and Sager are currently at the “Pinoy Big Brother” house, they couldn’t address their remarks on social media.
Taa started her entertainment career as a teen housemate on “Pinoy Big Brother: Otso” in 2018 but was eliminated on the 23rd day. She has since pursued acting where she appeared in the dramas “Zoomers” seasons one and two, “Kadenang Ginto,” and “Flower of Evil,” to name a few.
