Marcus Adoro apologized for the “ruckus” ahead of Eraserheads reunion and addressed his daughter, singer Syd Hartha, hoping she would give him a “second chance for redemption.”

The former Eraserheads guitarist admitted he and Hartha have had no communication for years, as per a statement released on his Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 26.

“Recently, I’ve tried to reach out to her through her manager, but I’m not sure if my messages are getting through,” he said. “So, I’m making this post.”

“Syd, sa’n ka man (wherever you are), I hope you’re doing well. As you already know, I’m far from perfect kaya (so it is) normal if you want nothing to do with me,” he stated. “Sana lang magkaroon ng (I just hope to have a) second chance for redemption.”

Adoro then gave his apologies and asked fans for their continuous support for the rock band’s upcoming reunion concert.

“I’m sorry for the ruckus that I may have caused my family, the public, the sponsors and my bandmates. Pasensya na (I am sorry),” he added. “I also want to thank the people who are supporting E-Heads’ art. Please continue to support the E-Heads reunion. Alay po sa ating lahat ito (This is for us all).”

Adoro noticeably did not mention his former partner, actress Barbara Ruaro, who — along with their daughter Hartha — accused him of domestic violence in 2019. The said allegations recently resurfaced after Eraserheads confirmed they will hold a reunion concert, entitled “Huling El Bimbo,” which includes Adoro.

Meanwhile, former Eraserheads frontman Ely Buendia and drummer Raymund Marasigan earlier spoke up regarding the domestic violence allegations against Adoro. Buendia stressed he does not condone abuse, and revealed that one of his conditions in performing with Adoro again was that the guitarist should “resolve his issues.” Marasigan, for his part, expressed hope that the issue gets resolved between the parties involved.
