AJ Raval vows to inform fans if she becomes ‘official’ with Aljur Abrenica

AJ Raval opened up about her current ties to actor Aljur Abrenica, who has been romantically linked to her for months, saying she would let fans know when they become “official.”
The actress promised this while replying to fans during a question-and-answer session on her Instagram Stories yesterday, Feb. 28. Raval responded to a netizen who asked: “Kayo ba [ni] Aljur Abrenica (Are you and Aljur Abrenica a couple)?”
“Sobrang cool lang namin ni Aljur. Masaya kami sa mga situation namin. May mga priorities at problema na dapat unahin,” she told the netizen. “Huwag ka mag-alala, ‘pag official na, updated ka.”
(Aljur and I are just so cool. We’re happy with our situation. We have priorities and problems that we should deal with first. Don’t worry, once it’s official, you’re updated.)

Raval also talked candidly about how being linked to Abrenica has affected her career, when she answered another follower who asked: “Bakit si Aljur? Kahit nakakasira sa career mo at naging masama [ka pa] sa ibang tao dahil sa kanya? (Why Aljur? Even if it’s ruining your career and you’re seen as bad by other people because of him?)”
“Hindi naman importante sa’kin ‘yung opinyon ng ibang tao. Importante ‘yung opinyon ng malapit na tao sa’kin. Sana makita niyo si Aljur kung paano ko siya nakita,” she said. “Napakabuti ng puso ng taong ‘yun, kung paano niya mahalin ‘yung anak niya, ‘yung pamilya niya, kung paano siya tumingin sa mga tao—pantay.”
(The opinions of other people are not important to me. The opinions of those close to me are important. I hope you see Aljur the way I saw him. His heart is very good, how he loves his children, his family, how he sees other people— equally.)

Abrenica and Raval made headlines last year following speculations that Raval was the reason behind Abrenica’s split with his estranged wife, actress Kylie Padilla. Raval admitted in October 2021 that she and Abrenica were “getting to know” each other, but denied that she was the cause of the breakup.
Raval went on a “social media detox” after speculations broke, telling fans that she would be off social media until 2022. However, she returned earlier than expected when she flaunted her new hairstyle last November.
Back in October, the two were spotted holding hands and shopping together at a mall. They were then seen at a Leyte resort last Valentine’s Day. /ra
