“BCMC CLASS 01 2020 – Class President, Marquez. Hooyah!! #PhNavyReserveForce,” Marquez said. “Congrats sa lahat (to everyone)! Class 01 [let’]s do this.”

“Strict protocol was followed and everyone was required to do a rapid test before anything else,” the actress also noted.

Marquez first announced that she is joining the Philippine Navy as a reservist last February, saying, “People are asking me why I want to do this… I simply said because I want to… that’s it.”

“We don’t need to justify what we want to do, we can just show them what we women CAN do,” said the actress, who thanked fellow GMA artist and Navy reservist Rocco Nacino for “opening [her] eyes to this.”
