Diño arrived in Busan last Oct. 3, admitting she felt “a bit queasy and quite nervous” as it is her first international trip after she ended her stint as Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chairperson.

“As I officially take on the next chapter of my life, still doing what I love — championing Philippine cinema in the global space — I take with me the hopes and dreams of the Filipino filmmakers I now represent to make global quality projects that will take us to the next level,” she stated.

“I may be doing this now in a different capacity, but I am nonetheless filled with the same passion and drive I had back when I was in public service,” she added.
