Kris Aquino delighted her fans after she made her first public appearance in several years, attending the PeopleAsia magazine’s People of the Year 2025 for her close friend Michael Leyva.

The Queen of All Media accompanied the fashion designer who was one of the awardees at the event, as seen in the photos and videos shared by Cornerstone Entertainment and PeopleAsia on their respective Instagram pages on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Her son Bimby was also with them.

Speaking about her friendship with Leyva, Kris was all praises for him, saying he is “the younger brother [she] never had.”

“There are people who would say ‘I’ll be there for you,’ or ‘Maaasahan mo ako’ but Michael has proven so many times, and in so many ways,” she added.

During the event, Kris was also asked about her health, to which she admitted that she was feeling dizzy and that she was “not so okay.”

Kris’ first public outing in a while also coincided with the 39th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, a historic event not just for the country but for her family.

She said she initially thought that the magazine event was held on the 24th, but was reminded by Leyva that it was on the 25th. “Perfect coming out!” she said.
