Fellow hiphop musician Zjay also thanked Galicia for their friendship as he showed throwback photos with the departed rapper on his Facebook page yesterday.

“Maraming salamat sa pagkakaibigan kuya,” he addressed Galicia. “Ikaw ang pinaka-patunay na hindi tapang ang dapat pairalin para respetuhin. Mahal na mahal kita kuya Jomer, hindi ko pa din matanggap kuya. Ikaw na bahala [sa ‘ming] mga naiwan mo.”

(Thank you for the friendship, brother. You are the greatest proof that one does not need to be fierce to be respected. I love you very much, Jomer, I still can’t accept it. Look after us whom you left behind.)

Meanwhile, fans on Twitter called for justice for Galicia as they lamented his death and recalled his impact on hiphop and their lives.

“Sa Panginoon lang tayo may utang. Siya lang din may karapatang maningil pero bakit may ibang naningil kay OG? Justice For OG Kaybee,” one @mrkl_nn said. (We’re only indebted to the Lord. He’s the only one who can make us pay back but why did someone else charge OG?)

“Nasubaybayan ko mga kanta ni OG Kaybee. Mula sa pagiging ‘Kalbong Brutal’ niya hanggang sa ngayong era. Unknown [Critics] at 187 Mobstaz days [solid],” another netizen, @dominusolkaps, recalled. “Sobrang nakakalungkot dahil isa siya sa nagtutulak ng hiphop dito sa San Andres.”

(I followed OG Kaybee’s songs. From him being “Kalbong Brutal” to the current era. Unknown Critics and 187 Mobstaz days [were] solid. It’s saddening because he was one of those who pushed for hiphop in San Andres.)
