Diether Ocampo recovering in hospital after Makati car crash

Diether Ocampo is now recovering at a hospital after he figured in a vehicular accident in Makati, his talent agency said.
The actor’s recovery was confirmed by talent management arm Star Magic via a statement on its Instagram page, yesterday, Feb. 4.
“Diether Ocampo is currently recovering in the hospital following a vehicular accident this morning. We appreciate everyone’s concern and ask for prayers for his speedy recovery,” it stated.
The agency did not give further details about the actor’s condition.

Ocampo was rushed to the hospital yesterday after he sustained injuries when his SUV crashed into a garbage truck in Makati City. The collision took place on the southbound lane of the service road along Osmeña Highway.
As per reports, Ocampo crashed into the truck while it was temporarily stalled at the side of the highway as collectors were gathering trash along the road.
Members of the Philippine Red Cross responded to the scene and took the actor to a hospital. A responder stated that the actor was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. /ra
