Angel Jones laughs off ‘fake stories’ about son Tony Labrusca

Angel Jones, mother of “Glorious” star Tony Labrusca, laughed off “fake stories” about her son in regard to his outburst at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) that saw him shouting at immigration officers.
Labrusca arrived from Canada with fellow actor Alex Diaz, leading netizens go speculate that the two may be together. It is known that Diaz came to Labrusca’s defense at the height of the issue, taking to social media last Jan. 4 to share his side of the story as he “saw the whole thing go down.”
Labrusca, meanwhile, cried foul over the netizens’ malicious claims that he and Diaz are together, as shown by filmmaker Chris Cahilig on Twitter. In his post, Cahilig shared a screenshot of his message with Labrusca, who explained he and Diaz are just friends.
“Talking to Tony Labrusca about the rumors on him that are circulating on social media,” Cahilig wrote on Twitter. “[Napaka]frustrating how malicious netizens are. Norm na ang paniniwala sa chismis.”
In Labrusca’s message, he asked what was wrong in being with Diaz at the immigration.
“Just because we’re in the same flight we’re together na? That’s so low,” said Labrusca. “Why can’t people see the truth that we’re just friends and his tita even made sure we got the same flight para may kasama kami pauwi.”

Jones, on her end, found the whole issue absurd, as she took to Twitter last Jan. 6 to laugh at the netizens spreading fake news about her son.
“I’m laughing at all the misinformed people spreading hate and fake stories as if they were there,” she wrote then. “Thank you for all the PR! Underdog stories always end the best.”

One netizen replied to Jones’ tweet and said some netizens have also been spreading pictures of Diaz, saying he is Labrusca’s purported boyfriend.
