Bea Alonzo, Julia Barretto kiss, make up at Johnny Manahan’s tribute party

Time indeed heals all wounds, as the once-hostile Bea Alonzo and Julia Barretto were spotted talking and laughing together at the tribute party of seasoned show biz starmaker Johnny Manahan.
Barretto and Alonzo were caught on video interacting at Manahan’s Night of 100 Stars party by one @peachypeachy888 on Tiktok. The video, which has now been deleted, also showed the actresses giggling over wine, with Barretto even holding on Alonzo’s wrist before laughing again.
At one point, Darren Espanto handed Barretto a shot of alcohol before chatting with Alonzo again. The video has since been reuploaded on social media.

Many fans were excited to see Barretto and Alonzo appearing to be on good terms again, years after they were involved in a public spat over Gerald Anderson, who’s now in a relationship with the “Expensive Candy” star. Before Barretto, Anderson used to be Alonzo’s boyfriend.

The star-studded event was also attended by Heart Evangelista, Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, Kathryn Bernardo, Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, Piolo Pascual, and Claudine Barretto, to name a few.
The spat between Barretto and Alonzo began after the latter said Anderson broke up with her after he “started not talking to her” in a 2019 interview, and posted a cryptic message about betrayal on Instagram. This, too, after a netizen said he saw Barretto and Anderson together at an event months after filming their movie “Between Maybes.”
This led to Barretto accusing Alonzo of turning her heartbreak into a “national concern” and leading “everybody to destroy [Barretto]” for herself.
The word war is eventually put to rest after Anderson confirmed that he’s in a relationship with Barretto in March 2021, while clarifying that he didn’t ghost Alonzo. The couple is still going strong, while Alonzo called off her wedding with Dominic Roque in February 2024.
