Carla Abellana releases ‘Mahinahon,’ a visual poem on self-love
Carla Abellana poured her heart out in a new visual poem, “Mahinahon,” which is about self-love and one’s feeling of calmness after dealing with heartbreak.
The Kapuso actress talked about getting back up from experiencing extreme sadness while showing clips of herself at a rental vacation home in Antipolo, Rizal, for the visual poem, as seen on her YouTube channel yesterday, Dec. 13.
“Ang karagatan na hinagupit ng kalungkutan. / Ngayo’y nakatindig sa dalampasigan. / Hanggang dito na lang tayo. / Sa hangganan ng ikaw at ako. / Magkasamang hinulma ang bukas. / Magkatabing hinabi ang wakas,” she said.
The poem also addressed an anonymous second party who apparently caused the end of their relationship because they “chose themself.”
“Minsan mong pinangako ang araw / Ngunit sa paglubog, / ‘Di ka na muling lumitaw,” Abellana continued.

Prior to this, Abellana admitted that her divorce from Rodriguez is not fully settled yet since it is yet to be recognized in the Philippines. She also shared that she still cries over their separation. /ra
