‘It’s Showtime’ hosts give P200k to Cebu contestant affected by typhoon Odette
“It’s Showtime” hosts contributed money and came up with P200,000 to help a contestant affected by typhoon Odette, which struck the country last December.
Vice Ganda initiated the donation among the hosts after they noticed that “Tawag ng Tanghalan” contestant Edimar Bonghanoy was low-spirited in an episode of “It’s Showtime,” as seen on its Facebook page yesterday, May 24.
Bonghanoy, of Cebu, shared that they lost their house when the typhoon struck, and his family has since been living in a makeshift house.
(Many hardships will come in our life that might be heavy. Just thinking about them will make you weary—sad, but you cannot cry. But remember that God gave you something that you can use to win your battles. There are also people around you who will be with you and help you overcome your problems.)

(We want to make you happy. We may not see the happiness [in your face], but we know that you and your family feel it, and that is what makes us happy.)
Meanwhile, “It’s Showtime” staff and crew earlier received an early Christmas treat from Vice Ganda as he gave away P5,000 each to over 100 personnel of the show, and P10,000 each to five chosen viewers. /ra
