Coco Martin’s “FPJ’s Ang Batang Quiapo”, and fellow Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Piolo Pascual are some of the big winners at the Philippine Movie Press Club’s (PMPC) 38th Star Awards for Television, held at the Dolphy Theater on Sunday night (March 23).
The awarding ceremony marked the return of the program following a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic. The annual awards celebrated the milestones of Filipino TV including the actors who made the mark in their respective shows.
“Batang Quiapo,” which centers on the story of Tanggol, solidified its reign on mainstream television after bagging the Best Primetime TV Series award. Meanwhile, Chiu and Pascual won acting awards for their performances in “Linlang” and “Pamilya Sagrado,” respectively.
