LOOK: Maggie Wilson gets Sak Yant tattoo in Thailand
Maggie Wilson got herself inked in Thailand with a five-line Sak Yant tattoo, a sacred hand-poked tattoo which is said to offer protection from bad fortune and unwanted spirits.
Wilson gave a glimpse of her new back tattoo and explained what each line represents, through her Instagram page yesterday, April 3. A gold leaf detail on the tattoo, she pointed out, is part of the blessing. She vowed that she will never “change nor cover” her tattoos as they stand for the people and phases in her life.
“All of my tattoos, big or small, mean a lot to me,” she said. “My tattoos are a representation of me, my past, my present and my future outlook. A story book about my life.”
The Binibining Pilipinas World 2007 titleholder then spoke about her experience of getting the Sak Yant, noting that she did her research before deciding to get such a tattoo.
“This piece is special because I had to go through a sacred ceremony of prayers and blessings to have it done,” she stated. “This tattoo in particular is for women and is considered sacred which is why I chose to do it the traditional way, by a master.”

Wilson also showed the step-by-step process she went through to get the Sak Yant, via her Instagram Stories, also yesterday. The beauty queen prayed and gave offerings before the tattoo master began hand-poking the tattoo.
Meanwhile, Wilson was recently spotted with her business partner Tim Connor in Thailand, months after they dismissed speculations that they were having an affair. JB
