Maxene Magalona has celebrated New Year’s eve with Rob Mananquil’s parents, amid speculations that the two have broken up after Magalona unfollowed her husband on Instagram.
Magalona gave fans a glimpse of the dinner she had with her in-laws to mark New Year’s eve, as seen on her Instagram page today, Jan. 5. She spoke about how she enjoys their company, noting that she would keep with her their jokes and lessons forever.
“Every time I hang out with them, I learn and enjoy so much. I love hearing Dad’s funny jokes that make me laugh so much as well as Mom’s stories from the past that come with life lessons which I cherish and keep with me forever,” she said.
The actress then expressed her gratitude to them, sharing how their love is “pure and rare,” and how it molded her to the person she is now.
“I just want to take this moment to show my love and gratitude for two of the kindest and most unconditionally loving souls that I’ve ever met in this lifetime,” she shared. “I wouldn’t be the person I am today if not for them.”

Magalona and Mananquil’s marriage has been hounded up by breakup rumors, heightening up after eagle-eyed fans noticed that Magalona no longer follows her husband on Instagram. Though there is still no confirmation from the two, as of writing, Magalona recently shared how she embarked on a solo Boracay trip to “honor her sad soul.” JB
