Kris Aquino was advised by her attending physician to take full bed rest after suffering from severe muscle spasms and outbreak of rashes after her recent relief work in Negros Occidental.

Aquino shared that she will be spending her Christmas bedridden after experiencing symptoms of her existing autoimmune chronic urticaria, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 24.

“Ibang level yung muscle spasms ko (nonstop pins [and] needles — cramps na ewan na) from my neck to the base of my spine,” Aquino added while thanking her doctor who attended to her medical needs.

She then recalled her recent relief-work experience, which appears to be the cause of her condition.

(Because I want to bring happiness to those in need, I carried and personally distributed as many Puregold bags as I could, which I put in a super rush order. I forgot that I have autoimmune chronic urticaria and the bags weigh a minimum of 7 to 8 pounds, but I kept on going.)

The actress-TV host notified her fiancé Mel Sarmiento, who was with her in the relief operation, when she felt dizzy and experienced action tremors.

Meanwhile, Aquino’s attending physician advised her to avoid excessive physical activities despite the actress’ commitment to deliver the relief packs herself, as stated on the medical certificate included on the same post.

“Admirable yes, but as her attending physician and seeing her in much pain I need to protect my immunocompromised patient’s well-being,” the doctor stated.

Despite her condition, Aquino assured that Angel Locsin, her partner in the relief effort, will aid the distribution in her place until her doctor gives her clearance to resume all her other activities.
