Not engaged, ‘just loved’: Ivana Alawi gives self 8-carat diamond ring for birthday
For Ivana Alawi, self-love has come in the form of splurging on a massive diamond ring.
The actress and social media star spoke about her birthday gift to herself, in an episode of her YouTube vlog last Wednesday, Jan. 6, where she opened presents she received. Alawi turned 24 last Dec. 25.
Alawi flaunted her 8-carat diamond ring from Luna by Drake Dustin, where not only is there a big rock on top, the band itself is covered in diamonds.
The media personality noted that she did not need a man to have her own diamond ring.
”Bakit ako mag-aantay sa lalaki? E di bilhan ko na lang [ang] sarili ko, ‘di ba? It’s just a symbol to love myself. Parang gift ko talaga siya para sa sarili ko,” she said.

She said that for her, it was also an investment, and something that she wants to pass down to her own future kids.
“Hindi ako engaged (I am not engaged), I am just loved,” she stressed. “This is my gift to myself and I’m so proud kasi (because) it’s a reminder to work hard for your dreams, kasi dati pangarap ko lang talaga ‘to eh (this used to be just a dream of mine). Tapos ‘di ba, naging sa akin na siya (Then this ring is now mine), and it’s just a dream come true.”
“I will treasure this tapos ‘yung mga anak ko, sila mga makakamana nito (then my kids will inherit it),” Alawi added.
The actress was spoiled with many designer presents, including a Chanel bag from the maker of the ring, Drake Dustin.
Alawi, who has over 10 million subscribers on YouTube, was named the top local creator of the video-sharing platform in 2020. JB
