Morissette Amon responds to claim that getting married will ‘end international career’
After announcing the happy news of her engagement with Dave Lamar, singer Morissette Amon thumbed down a claim that getting married would affect her career.
Among those who congratulated the Cebuana singer was the variety show “ASAP,” which gave a message of support to the couple on Instagram yesterday, Dec. 22.
However, a naysayer commented on the post to tell her, “Wrong decision girl.”
“This will be the end of your international career,” said @filipinodadcooks. “Just like what happened to Jocelyn Enriquez.” Enriquez is a Fil-Am pop singer.
“It’s okay to be in love but think about how much you’re going to lose. You are at the peak of your career right now,” the Instagram user warned.

She then directed her critic to a song she wrote with Lamar, “Love You Still.” Its music video premiered last Dec. 5 and was shot by Lamar himself.
“And this is just the beginning,” she remarked.
The couple revealed to the public that they were engaged Monday, Dec. 21, after first sharing the news to family and friends over the past months. /ra
