Liza Soberano on social media break: ‘I needed to think about life’
Liza Soberano explained that she has not been active on social media lately because she needed to spend time with family while also reflecting on life and her goals.
“Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been [missing in action] for a while,” the actress said on her Twitter page yesterday, Nov. 10.
“Just savoring the time I have with the people most special to me,” she added. Soberano is currently in the United States with her boyfriend Enrique Gil to take care of her ailing grandmother.

She noted that the past weeks have been a “very trying time” for her as well. While she wanted to share with her supporters how she was feeling, she expressed that it was “just too soon” for her.
Instead, Soberano used the time away from social media to reassess her plans in life.
“I needed to take a break and think about life, my goals and what I think my mission is in life,” she stated.
Prior to stepping away from social media for a while, Soberano was accused of becoming a member of an alleged communist front. The accusation came when she spoke in an online seminar by the youth arm of women’s rights group Gabriela.
