Sharon Cuneta revealed that she and her ex-husband, Gabby Concepcion, are “blocked” from each other’s Instagram accounts supposedly to maintain “world peace.”

Cuneta raised the topic after writing a heartfelt message to her only child with the veteran actor, KC Concepcion. Cuneta told KC that despite their family’s situation, she was not alone, as per the Megastar’s Instagram post last Wednesday, Aug. 12.

“My eldest, this baby girl, should never have been made to feel alone,” Cuneta said. “She didn’t choose to be born into a family that started out with so much love only to be broken apart into a million pieces, like her mother’s heart.”

The 54-year-old singer and actress said that if she could turn back time, she knew that her breakup with Gabby would still happen. Her only wish now is to be able to shield KC’s “innocence from time.”

“Once, we were a family,” Cuneta affirmed. “And in a sense, whether we – or they – like it or not, we three still always will be, my Maria Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion. Papa and Mama will love you forever.”

“I forget how many of you we planned to have. But I wouldn’t have minded having 5 more like you,” Cuneta told KC. “You are not alone. If anything, there’s more of us on both sides for you!”

The Megastar then requested her fans to tag Gabby in her post. “We haven’t unblocked each other on IG,” she said. “For World Peace.”

Cuneta’s message came after KC was invited for an interview in the talk show “Usapang Real Life.” The 35-year-old actress showed a snippet of her interview with veteran journalist Luchi Cruz-Valdes via Instagram on the same day.

KC emotionally disclosed that since her mother and father are both married to their respective spouses and have their own children, she always strives to do things that would make Cuneta and Gabby proud of her.

“Ako lang kase yung nag-iisang anak nila na silang dalawa,” KC said. “So meron akong complex na gusto kong [maging] proud [sila] sakin.”

After starring together in the romance film (1981) “Dear Heart,” Cuneta and Gabby tied the knot three years later in 1984. However, the former love team’s marriage did not last, as they had their union annulled in 1987. KC was born on April 7, 1985.  /ra
