‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ PH remake wraps up filming

The cast of the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean series “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” announced that they have finally finished shooting the project after nearly a year.
The production team and the actors, including Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia and Enchong Dee, marked the end of the filming by celebrating in a fun night-out at a KTV bar, as seen on Curtis’ Instagram page on Thursday, April 24.
Curtis, Garcia and Dee sang their hearts out along with series director Mae Cruz-Alviar, Agot Isidro, Alora Sasam and the members of the production staff.
“A minute of craziness to wrap up almost a year of filming IOTNBO,” Curtis said in the caption. “I officially found my counterpart sa bosesan and agawan ng mic, [Enchong Dee].”

In a separate post days earlier, Cruz-Alviar also turned emotional as she counted the days prior to wrapping up the filming of the series.
“The month long lock-in is coming to a close in a few days. Starting to feel emotional looking back at all we’ve been through,” she wrote. “What a journey it really has been.”

The original “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” series, which tackles mental health, stars Seo Yea-ji, Kim Soo-hyun and Oh Jung-se.
Curtis will portray the character played by Seo, an author with antisocial personality disorder who gets romantically entangled with a psychiatric ward caretaker, Kim’s role which will be portrayed by Garcia.
Garcia’s character has an older brother in the autism spectrum, the role originally portrayed by Oh and will be played by Carlo Aquino in the Philippine adaptation.
The series’ premiere date has yet to be announced as of this writing.
