KC Concepcion mourns death of paternal grandmother: ‘Thank you for keeping me close to the family’

KC Concepcion paid tribute to her paternal grandmother Lourdes after she passed away yesterday, Aug. 9.

The actress-host announced her family’s loss on her Instagram page on the same day alongside a photo of her, her dad Gabby and her late grandmother.

“Thank you for always reminding us of our family tree and for always keeping me close to the family, mommyla,” KC said. “Love you and will remember you and daddylo forever.”

KC also included hashtags referring to the Filipino architect and painter Juan Arellano. Her father Gabby explained back in 2014 that they were related to the artist. He stated that Arellano was the grandfather of his now-late mother Lourdes.

Following KC’s post, fellow celebrities such as Judy Ann Santos, Angeline Quinto and Jhong Hilario extended their condolences.
