LOOK: KC Concepcion gives her dog a ‘haircut’ while in quarantine
While non-essential stores are closed during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, actress and dog mom KC Concepcion trimmed her pet’s fur by herself.
Concepcion revealed that she has no previous experience with cutting anyone’s hair and it was her first attempt to do so, as per her Instagram post today, April 28.
“I tried something new today!” she said. “CUTTING HAIR! Not mine… My dog’s.”
Concepcion said she got “nervous” when she noticed that her dogs’ fur was getting longer, so she decided to take on the task of cutting it herself. The actress wore a face mask and used at least two kinds of scissors and a comb for the process, as seen in her series of photos.
“Please don’t ask for a ‘before & after’ cuz feeling ko major fail ‘to (this is a major fail)!” the actress joked.
“Lord, sana matapos na tong pandemic at hindi na tumagal ang ECQ dahil baka maka practice ako masyado at kung anu-anong hairstyle na magawa ko sa doggies ko!” she said.
(Lord, I hope this pandemic ends and this ECQ to no longer be prolonged, otherwise I might get more practice and do all sorts of hairstyles to my dogs!)
Concepcion is the owner of two Pomeranian dogs, Churro and Chica, both of whom she often lovingly talks about on her social media account.

Concepcion’s fellow celebrities, who are also taking care of their own pets at home, reacted that they have the same dilemma, namely singer Mica Javier and former beauty queen Kylie Verzosa. Javier said she also trimmed her cat’s fur, while Verzosa said she did not even keep a post-haircut photo.
“I was [feeling] so bad while cutting i kept saying sorry!” Concepcion replied to Verzosa. “[Well] at least she feels ‘fresher & lighter.'”
“[Yes] that was my term ‘fresher,'” Verzosa replied in agreement. “[Cute] will eventually come after.”
More and more celebrities are also getting resourceful and giving their family members haircuts during the quarantine. Such is the case with Marian Rivera, who cut her husband Dingdong Dantes’s hair. Solenn Heussaff also tried to shave her husband Nico Bolzico’s long hair to give him a new bald look. JB
