Kylie Padilla warned her fans that her Twitter account is not under her control anymore, after realizing it had been hacked yesterday, Nov. 30.

“So my Twitter account has been hacked. Just letting you guys know,” she said in her Instagram post on the same day.

Her fans were quick to express their sympathies for the actress, hoping that Padilla would still be able to regain access to her account. One netizen (@leyzell) even offered her advice on how to protect her account from being hacked.

“Please use two-step verification para mas secure yung account mo (so your account is more secure),” the Instagram user said. “In that way, you can [link] your phone number or another email to reset or authenticate your account.”

Padilla’s Twitter account (@kylienicolep) has been stripped of all her photos and posts, as of writing. The page also no longer follows other accounts.

The hacking incident comes weeks after other celebrities’ social media accounts have been compromised in various platforms, including Instagram and Twitter. Kris Bernal’s social media accounts were seized by a group of foreign hackers last September. She was able to regain access to her Instagram account days after, but was unable to do the same for her Twitter account.
