LOOK: Kylie Padillla treated to surprise baby shower by Mariel Rodriguez, Robin Padilla
Expectant mother Kylie Padilla was all smiles when she received a surprise baby shower from her father Robin Padilla and stepmother Mariel Rodriguez.
The intimate event was held at Museo De Padilla, an ancestral home in Quezon City which used to house the members of Padilla’s family.

The actress could not help but gush over the sweet gesture in celebration of her second pregnancy. She took to Instagram yesterday, Sept. 9, to express her gratitude and to share photos from the surprise.
“Thank you everyone! Na surprise talaga ako (I was really surprised),” she said. “Tita @marieltpadilla and papa @robinhoodpadilla thank you again for making these magical moments happen.”

“I’ll be making sure AR knows everything you do for him” she added, referring to her second son who she is currently pregnant with.
Rodriguez, who has a knack for arranging events for her loved ones, ensured that the venue was fit for the celebration. The ancestral home was adorned with blue and silver decorations such as flowers and balloons. The dining table also featured clear candle holders as well as blue and white porcelain to match the overall color scheme.
Keeping the celebration intimate, Kylie was only surrounded by members of her and Abrenica’s families. Among them were actress Maritoni Fernandez, who is the cousin of Robin, and her daughter Lexi Alvarez.
“Our babies are having another baby boy,” Fernandez said in an Instagram post yesterday.

Kylie also recounted how her husband Aljur Abrenica has been quiet lately.
“Ayaw mo siguro mahulaan ko yung secret. Inaway tuloy kita palagi,” she joked in a separate Instagram post, where the couple posed with their firstborn Alas.

Kidding aside, Kylie said the baby shower made her second pregnancy “so much more real.” JB
