Kris Aquino on Bea Alonzo and Julia Barretto: They ‘deserve to move on’
Kris Aquino defended Bea Alonzo and Julia Barretto when a netizen on Instagram brought up the controversy between them and Gerald Anderson in Aquino’s post on the platform recently.

“Nauuso ba yan ganyan parang Julia p*kpok Barretto lang pagsusulat,” the user who goes by the handle @droidy0301 said in Aquino’s Instagram post on Friday, Aug. 9.

The Queen of All Media’s post appeared similar in format to Barretto’s recent statement regarding Barretto’s involvement in the split between Alonzo and Anderson. Barretto’s statement criticized Alonzo, and alleged that Alonzo rallied everyone against her.
Alonzo previously made a cryptic Instagram statement, citing how one cannot “make the same mistake twice,” which was speculated by fans to be in reference to Anderson. There was no mention of Barretto in the said post.
Meanwhile, the netizen’s comment on Aquino’s post has since been deleted, but Aquino reposted her reply to clarify her say on the matter.
“i have always loved & will continue to love Bea. But why are people so quick to condemn Julia?” the actress replied. “Why do we blame women when the reality is, men do commit the mistake of not saying they want out, or not being honest enough with the public.”
She said her view on life changed because of the recent split of the South Korean star couple Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo. She admired how Son Joong-ki “manned up” and “accepted it wasn’t working & rather than hurt each other further, nag DIVORCE.”

“What everyone has forgotten- there was no marriage here!” Aquino stressed, referring to the recent split of Alonzo and Anderson. “And come on, sa GANDA ni Bea- PIPILA na ang mga LILIGAW (And come on, with Bea’s beauty — suitors will line up).”
“But in the meantime why destroy Julia? And why destroy her mom? Unfair diba?” she asked.
She also told the commenter to spare the two actresses from the controversy, saying: “Both Bea & Julia DESERVE to move on from this issue. Nakakasawa to put women against each other.”
