Sharon has ‘tampo’ over Robin not making it to her 40th anniversary concert

While Sharon Cuneta enjoyed serenading her fans at her recent 40th-anniversary concert, she was looking for one guest that she had expected to show up but who did not—Robin Padilla.
The Megastar held a concert, titled “Sharon: My 40 Years,” at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, last Sept. 28. It was a star-studded event, with Richard Gomez, Christopher de Leon and Regine Velasquez joining her on stage.
It turns out that she was expecting Padilla to attend the event. This started when a fan account for the Megastar, @sharoniansincebirth_tmu_li, posted an Instagram photo of Cuneta and Padilla on Wednesday.

Cuneta then expressed her disappointment at Padilla through the comments section: “Nahurt ako. Inimbita ko manood ni walang sagot (I was hurt. I invited him to watch, but I didn’t even get an answer).” She added that her 40th anniversary will never happen again, but that Padilla had time to go to the ABS-CBN Ball.
“Okay lang napakasaya ko naman nung concert.” Cuneta said. “Pero lam nya naman memory ko parang singlaki ng memory ng elepante. Di makakalimutan.”
(It’s okay, I had fun during the concert.) (But he knows my memory is as large as an elephant, I never forget.)

The fan account replied to her comment, telling Cuneta that Padilla posted that he was in a hospital.
However, @sharoniansincebirth_tmu_li noted s/he was not sure if the actor’s visit was on the day of Cuneta’s concert.

Cuneta went on to tell Padilla her disappointment on his Instagram account, where he posted a snap from the recent ball joining his wife Mariel Rodriguez and other ABS-CBN executives and broadcaster Korina Sanchez.
A netizen named @malunggayworld said: “Sayang at di nakapunta si Ma’am (Sharon), ang iyong reyna (It’s too bad ma’am, your queen, didn’t make it)!”
The Megastar replied to the comment, telling him/her: “Si Robin po ikaw lang ang reyna niya HABANG may movie.” She added that his attitude has not changed even when they were younger.
“Kaw nag-umpisa Bin ha ganyan ka na pala!” she told Padilla. “Mas mabait pa si [Mariel] sa’kin. Magkalimutan na tayo.”
(You’re the one who started it, Bin.) (Mariel is nicer to me than you are. Let’s just forget each other.)

Cuneta and Padilla previously worked together in the 2017 movie “Unexpectedly Yours,” opposite Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia. They first met in 1991 for the movie “Maging Sino Ka Man,” which soon led to a real-life romance. At one point, they almost married, but Cuneta found out that Padilla got another girl pregnant. /ra
