Ahead of its premiere, “Wonder Woman” garnered praise from critics. Since its weekend release this June 1, the movie was a box-office hit and positive reviews have been pouring in from audiences, fans and members of the film industry.

One of the most vocal celebrities is no less than the talented Lupita Nyong’o. The Academy-award winning actress wrote this impassioned review, arguably the best, if not most entertaining one so far:

Ok people, I just left the theater and KNOW for CERTAIN that the GODS have seen fit to BLESS us with #WONDERWOMAN. W.O.W. It is a superhero movie like none I have ever seen. Epic. FUN. Engaging. Stylistically Captivating. Funny in an honest, not-trying-too-hard way. Witty. Smart. Perfect length. Fierce. Sensual. Just amazing. @Gal_Gadot will glue you to the screen and at the same time make you want to run to the nearest costume shop to get your W on and join the #GODESSNESS right away (W = #WomanWarriorOfTheWorld). Director #PattyJenkins IS NOT PLAYING AROUND, as she gives us some AMAZON REALNESS in an exquisitely directed story. Chris Pine is irresistable. The score is KILLER. And it is the type of film that I think you can enjoy over and over. This movie definitely goes down as a classic in its genre for me. @wonderwomanfilm #RunAndGoSeeIt #HadToGush #PromotionFromTheHeart.

“The GODS have seen fit to BLESS us with #WONDERWOMAN,” declares Lupita. “It is a superhero movie like none I have ever seen. Epic. FUN. Engaging. Stylistically Captivating.”

Apart from praising Gal Gadot’s performance and Patty Jenkins’ direction, she coined her own terms: “Gal Gadot will glue you to the screen and at the same time make you want to run to the nearest costume shop to get your W on and join the #GODESSNESS right away (W = #WomanWarriorOfTheWorld).”

Her praises were extended to the director as well: “Director #PattyJenkins IS NOT PLAYING AROUND, as she gives us some AMAZON REALNESS in an exquisitely directed story.”

And the leading man was not to be overlooked: “Chris Pine is irresistable. The score is KILLER. And it is the type of film that I think you can enjoy over and over. This movie definitely goes down as a classic in its genre for me.”

Gal took to Twitter to thank Lupita:

What makes Lupita’s review even more epic is that she will star in the “Black Panther” movie for DC’s rival Marvel.

Based on online support, those in the film industry came together to support the Amazonian warrior’s first stand-alone big-screen feature, regardless of superhero alliance.

Another actor for Marvel, Mark Ruffalo who plays the Hulk, was happy for the film’s success:

Bryce Dallas Howard, who starred as Gwen Stacy in the 2007 “Spider-Man” was emotional:

“The Hunger Games” and “Pitch Perfect” actress Elizabeth Banks gave a shout out to a particular scene:

Some watched it with their moms, like “Big Little Lies” actress Jennifer Lafleur and Buzzfeed actress Ashly Perez:

“Castle” TV actress Stana Katic shared her love:

Shannon Purser who starred as Barb in “Stranger Things” loved it so much, she’s now going to take a Krav Maga class:

“Fresh Off the Boat” star Constance Wu and writer Ali Wong were fans:

#WonderWoman WAS SO GOOD!!!!! All hail #PattyJenkins

“Avengers” and now “Justice League” writer and director Joss Whedon shut down the ridiculous protests against women-only screenings of the film:

American author Jenny Trout and comic book writer Tom King talked about how everyone felt empowered:

And if that hasn’t convinced you to watch yet, actress Jessica Chastain who has been vocal about gender inequality in the film industry, reposted Lupita’s review on her Instagram and is calling everyone to watch:

In Lupita’s words, this makes us want to get our W on. “Wonder Woman” is showing in theaters nationwide. JB
