LOOK: Angel Locsin wears training bruises like badges of honor

Angel Locsin proudly showed off recent bruises she earned from fight training.

The actress recently had her second day of knife-fight training from which she picked up some bruises. A snapshot of Locsin was uploaded on the Instagram account of martial arts system Libre Fighting Philippines on June 24. “Angel earns her Libre Birthmark under the guidance of Libre Philippines Trainer Fernan Masicampo,” wrote Libre Fighting in the caption.

On her end, Locsin uploaded another video of her training session on Instagram, which she simply captioned “Day 2.”

Locsin will be starring in a new action-drama television series titled “The General’s Daughter.” The show’s premiere date has yet to be announced.

The show’s star-studded cast also includes Albert Martinez, Eula Valdez, Janice de Belen, Maricel Soriano, Tirso Cruz III and Ryza Cenon.

Locsin is no stranger to hard training, having previously played the role of Darna. She most recently reprised her “Imortal” character Lia Ortega, then later Lia’s doppelganger Jacintha Magsaysay in the fantasy series “La Luna Sangre.”  /ra
