WATCH: Angel Locsin trains in knife fighting
Angel Locsin continued to train hard in knife fighting for her upcoming TV show.
Locsin teased fans on what kinds of action scenes they can expect from the actress with a training video uploaded on Instagram on June 21.
The short clip showed Locsin practicing different attacks using a knife with her trainer. Tagged on the post was fight director Gary Lee Cua, who could be seen in the background. He appeared to be training with Paulo Avelino.
Fellow star Iza Calzado took notice and commented on the video. Director Lester Pimentel chimed in, saying he was quite excited to watch Locsin on prime-time TV. Locsin replied, saying she had something new to get addicted to.
Locsin will star in the upcoming TV series “The General’s Daughter.” The show’s release date has not yet been announced. However, Locsin confirmed some of the cast members she would be working with in a June 1 Facebook post. They include Albert Martinez, Eula Valdez, Janice de Belen, Maricel Soriano, Ryza Cenon and Tirso Cruz III.
The action-drama queen last appeared on TV for the fantasy series “La Luna Sangre,” which concluded last March and wherein she reprised her “Imortal” character Lia Ortega. She later played as Jacintha Magsaysay, Lia’s doppelganger. /ra
