Ogie Alcasid isolates away from Regine Velasquez, son after resuming work
Ogie Alcasid, who recently went back to taping, decided to isolate away from his wife, singer Regine Velasquez, and son Nate for their safety.
Alcasid expressed his longing for his wife and child, while showing a photo of their video call on his Instagram page yesterday, Jan. 19.
“Konting tiis na lang (Let’s endure a little more). [Missing] you both so much,” he said.
The singer-TV host told fans that Velasquez will be joining him in isolation when she also gets back to work.
“[For your information] lang po, I sleep in another room kasi back to work ako. Si misis naman back to work sa Sunday so by God’s grace sama na kami. Iwas lang po kami kay [Nate] after taping mga ilang days,” he added.

Alcasid earlier explained that they are staying in different rooms to lessen his exposure to Nate, because he still hasn’t had his COVID-19 vaccine yet. This he addressed in a separate post on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
“We are just thinking of [Nate] as he is the only one not [vaccinated] in our family. Medyo mataas pa talaga ang mga bilang [ng COVID-19] kaya [nag-iingat] lang,” he said. (The number of COVID-19 cases are still somewhat high, that’s why we’re being careful.)
Alcasid then stressed that they strictly follow health protocols in their workplace, while reminding fans to be safe against the virus.
“We are all swabbed and tested in [ABS-CBN] and follow all health protocols very strictly. Maigi na rin po na [mag-ingat] (It’s better to be careful). Stay safe everyone!!” he added.
