Matteo Guidicelli hopes to reconcile with Sarah Geronimo’s family in the future
Months after their controversial wedding, Matteo Guidicelli revealed that he often imagines dining with the family of his wife, Sarah Geronimo.
It is his and Geronimo’s dream to one day reconcile with her family, the actor revealed yesterday, Dec. 1, in Toni Gonzaga’s vlog titled “The Wedding Matteo Really Wanted.”
Guidicelli, a reservist, revealed that he originally wanted a military wedding while Geronimo wanted a “private, solemn [one] with family and just loved ones.”
When asked by Gonzaga why were Geronimo’s relatives not present at the wedding, Guidicelli answered: “In God’s time. In time, to be positive, things will heal, things will be better.”
“In five years, do you see yourself having dinner with your wife and her family in one table and having a good conversation, having a good meal?” Gonzaga then asked.

Guidicelli then noted that “one day, it will happen.”
Not perfect, but the best
While Guidicelli and Geronimo’s wedding was hounded by controversies and issues, the doting husband stressed that it is still “one of the best days” of his life.
“At the end of the day, it was a beautiful day of two people synergizing together, becoming as one,” he said. “It wasn’t perfect, but I consider it the best day of my life.”
Guidicelli and Geronimo tied the knot back in February 2020 at the Victory Church in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Among the issues then included that of the actor allegedly punching Geronimo’s security aide, which he denied. JB
