Phoemela Baranda is pregnant at 40
MANILA, Philippines — Model-turned-TV personality Phoemela Baranda has revealed being on a life-changing journey at age 40: she’s infanticipating.
Baranda proudly showed off her baby bump in a photo she posted Wednesday on her Instagram account with the caption, “Life begins.” The picture she posted was part of a feature about her in the fashion online magazine Preview.ph, which was released also on Wednesday.

According to Baranda, she is now in her second trimester and will likely give birth in March 2021.
The baby is her first child with partner Jason Choachuy, a businessman and professional race car driver.
The model said that she and Choachuy “really planned” for the pregnancy.
“I’ve always wanted another child, and my partner [wanted one] as well—it’s his first,” Baranda was quoted in the Preview.ph interview.
“I’m blessed to be in good health, we have more time at home, and I found the right person,” she added.
Baranda first gave birth at age 19 to daughter Kim Nichole, who is now 21 years old. Kim was a housemate in the 2014 “Pinoy Big Brother: All In” edition.
“I know a lot of things are going to change, but I’m happy for my mom because this is such a big blessing for us to have an addition to our family since it’s always just been the two of us,” Kim said in the same Preview.ph story on her mom.
“I know I’ll still forever be her baby,” she added.
