WATCH: Korina Sanchez tries tasty tacos cooked by Sylvia Sanchez

“I found out that [award-winning] actress Sylvia Sanchez is a GREAT COOK,” Korina Sanchez declared via Instagram after trying the tacos cooked by the veteran actress herself.
The “Rated K host” thanked her friend for delivering some packed food for her and her family to enjoy, including a whole set of ready-made ingredients to prepare tacos and a large plastic container of one of Sylvia’s specialties, the winged bean dish “gising gising.”
Korina also clarified that despite their family names being the same, she and Sylvia are are not related.
“Di ko siya kapatid, pero kapatid ko siya sa puso, at sa tiyan — mahilig kaming kumain pareho pero ang diperensya, mas magaling siya sa aking magluto,” Korina said.
(We are not sisters in blood, but we are sisters at heart and in the stomach. We love eating, but the difference is she cooks better than I do.)
Korina showed all the ingredients for Sylvia’s tacos including chopped cabbages, tomatoes, onions, grated cheese, flat taco shells and the special ground beef.

“The secret is in the sauce,” the TV host said. “Di ba? Naamoy ko na (Right? I can smell it now).”
Korina also paired the tacos with a glass of red wine.
The TV host recently announced that her YouTube channel received the Silver Play Button Award for reaching 100,000 subscribers.
Korina said that she got the award last December and only found the time to open the gift from YouTube this week. The Rated Korina channel has 205,000 subscribers as of this writing. /ra
