Korina Sanchez’s quarantine weight loss routine: Exercise, lots of water, 8 hours sleep
For Korina Sanchez, the best way to honor herself as a mom is to ensure that she is healthy and fit.
Sanchez narrated how she was able to achieve a slimmer figure via her Instagram post on Mother’s Day yesterday, May 11. The “Rated K” host said she limits her calorie intake to 1,500 a day, drinks lots of water, tries to get eight hours of sleep and exercises regularly.
“And the best mother’s day gift …was to myself,” Sanchez said. “Finally lost the 10 pounds just yesterday.”
Sanchez showed off her thinner waistline by holding onto her now slightly-looser shorts.
Before the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine last March, Sanchez said she weighed 121 pounds (over 54 kilograms). This month, she is down to 111 pounds (around 50 kilograms). Sanchez emphasized that losing weight does not happen overnight.
“No pain, no gain,” she said. “Maybe consult your family doctor about your diet first?”
The TV host disclosed that she follows a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet called Ketogenic diet. Sanchez added that she limits her consumption of carbohydrates to 20 grams per day.
To monitor her calorie intake, Sanchez uses a diet tracker app. She suggested to her fans to get one as well.
“I hop to music with 5lb (pounds) [dumbbells] in each hand,” she said. “200 [times]. That’s a good workout.”
Sanchez also encouraged aspiring fitness enthusiasts to try out her routine which “isn’t so hard.”
The mom of two also showed how she spent her second Mother’s Day with her twin babies Pepe and Pilar, as per Sanchez’s Instagram post yesterday.
The TV host was all smiles while holding her vanilla yema cake, courtesy of chef Heny Sison. Pepe and Pilar appear to have enjoyed the cake’s frosting as well.
For her Mother’s Day look, Sanchez donned a white dress and an intricate updo while bonding with her children.
Pepe and Pilar are the TV host’s children with her husband, former Sen. Mar Roxas. Sanchez and Roxas celebrated the twins’ first birthday last February with a farm-themed party. JB
