Seventeen and aespa brought home the Artist of the Year and Song of the Year plums, respectively, at the MAMA Awards held from November 21 to 23 in Los Angeles, California in the US and Osaka, Japan.

The 13-member group emerged as the biggest act of 2024 after winning the Artist of the Year and their second Album of the Year daesang (or grand prize), among other plums. On the other hand, aespa also proved their star power after bagging Song of the Year for “Supernova” while having the most wins.

Formerly known as the Mnet Asian Music Awards, the three-day event follows the theme “Big Blur: What is Real?,” centering the “blurred lines” in music and pop culture among fans.

The first day of the awards ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, marking the US’ first time to host the awards show. Meanwhile, the second and third day took place at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.
