Vice Ganda tells Anne Curtis: You will be a perfect mother
Vice Ganda unexpectedly made Anne Curtis shed tears of joy when he said she would make a great mom.
The two “Tawag ng Tanghalan” hosts had been interviewing soon-to-be-mother contestant Del Maica Papas when the topic of motherhood came up in the show’s Nov. 1 episode. After hearing Papas’ determination to do anything for her child, Curtis started getting teary-eyed and said, “When I hear stories like this, it makes me even more excited to be a mom.”
Vice Ganda responded with his usual comedic remarks before getting serious: “It won’t be such a big surprise na makita ka namin kung gaano ka kagaling na nanay (to see you turn out to be a wonderful mother). You don’t have to be a perfect woman to be a perfect mother. All you have to do is have a beautiful heart and that is enough,” said the host.
“I have seen you. Ang dami mong (You had many) struggles in the past. Maganda ka dati, pero sa mga pinagdaanan mo, lalong gumanda ang kaluluwa mo (You were beautiful then, but your soul got even more beautiful because of what you’ve gone through). Your kid, I am very sure, will be very proud of you. You will be such a perfect mother.”
In response, Curtis was reminded of their previous talk about growing old alone. The actress revealed that she and husband Erwan Heussaff would gladly take care of Vice Ganda and even consider him as their newest child when the time comes. /ra
