Korina Sanchez gets flak for interviewing Mocha Uson for ‘Rated K’

Korina Sanchez drew criticisms from netizens once more — this time for interviewing former Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary (PCOO-Asec) Mocha Uson for today’s upcoming episode of her television show “Rated K”.
Sanchez announced Uson’s guesting via Facebook yesterday, Oct. 6. She posted two photos of herself while interviewing Uson.
“Impossible? But true. An interview with the controversial influencer, and now resigned government official, Mocha Uson,” wrote Sanchez. “It’s a free country. We can be who we want to be and choose what we want to say. That much about political reality, we both respect.”

In another post, Sanchez listed some of the questions she asked Uson.
“Yes, I just had an interview with headliner political figure and social media influencer Mocha Uson,” she stated. “My questions: Sino ang pinipili mong patulan? Nakipag sabunutan ka na ba for real? Ano ang sagot mo sa bashers mo? Meron ka bang ginawa o sinabing pinagsisisihan mo? Titiwalag ka na ba? Bakit ka nag resign? Tatakbo ka na ba sa eleksiyon?”
(My questions: Who do you choose to deal with? Have you ever tried pulling someone’s hair for real? What is your answer to your bashers? Have you done or said anything you regret? Are you going to secede? Why did you resign? Are you going to run in the elections?)

Netizens, however, are not enthusiastic about Sanchez’s announcement. Many have been commenting that they will not watch today’s episode despite regularly watching “Rated K”.

One netizen, Joh G Guevarra, said Sanchez only “wasted [her] show’s precious time with Uson.”

“By giving that creature the exposure she does not deserve, you gave her free airtime and promoted her candidacy. Wrong decision Korina,” commented another Facebook user, MeAnn GianGoza.

Others are saying that it would have been better had Sanchez opted to interview her husband, Manuel “Mar” Roxas, or the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, instead of Uson.

Meanwhile, some would like to give the episode a chance by watching it first before commenting against Sanchez’s guest.
