LOOK: Bea Alonzo tries her hand at making ‘suman’ in baking school

Bea Alonzo cemented her entry into the world of baking on her first day at the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA).
The actress shared a snapshot of herself and two others while holding a recipe book in an Aug. 2 Instagram post. “Can’t wait to attend my future classes.. Exciting,” wrote Alonzo.

She updated her Instagram Stories today, Aug. 4, with a few video clips taken in the kitchen with an instructor. They appeared to be making suman.

Alonzo previously teased her plans to take up formal baking classes in late July. She shared a quote from American chef and TV personality Julia Child in a July 26 Instagram post.
The actress gained a taste for baking sometime in January 2017. She baked a batch of cookies at the time and found the activity enjoyable.
