Priscilla Meirelles narrated her encounter with pickpockets at a supermarket in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), and lamented how the store management “refused” to cooperate with the police over the incident.

The actress-beauty queen detailed the incident through her Facebook page last Friday, Aug. 16, saying the suspects were able to open her bag and get the phone of her daughter Anechka who was with her at the time.

Meirelles was doing a livestream when the incident happened, so she was able to capture the faces of the alleged pickpockets. She went to the police station to report what happened, then returned to the store with the police to check the CCTV footage.

However, after the police confirmed through the CCTV footage that there was indeed a pickpocket incident inside the establishment, the store management supposedly “refused” to file an incident report.

“They refused and told the police that they are not gonna issue anything — that I need to come back with a court order for them to issue something,” Meirelles said, noting that the store also declined to “release the CCTV footage” without an “approval” from the court.

“They refused to help me. They refused to release the CCTV to the police so they can act on it,” she added. “They are aggravating me… I’m not gonna be quiet about it.”

The celebrity mom admitted that she was “complacent” while at the store since there were security staff in the area, but she stressed that she did not deserve to be a victim of such.

In a separate video shared on Sunday, Aug. 18, Meirelles said she was able to recover the phone at a store in a shopping center in San Juan, with the help of the police and the device’s anti-theft feature.

Despite this, Meirelles said she is determined to file a case against the suspects in an effort to stop them from victimizing other people again.

“I will not stop until the result that needs to happen come out. Sorry na lang, malas nila ako ‘yung tinatarget nila,” she said.
