The live-action adaptation of Snow White would have been a huge milestone if it had been produced and released a decade ago. However, the landscape had changed for the worse by the time this movie went into pre-production. The upcoming film, featuring Rachel Zegler as the beloved Disney princess, is likely to underperform due to the negative impact of her remarks surrounding the project.

Can you blame audiences, casual fans, and moviegoers for being put off by the extremely controversial things she has said in interviews? It seems she has a disdain for the “Snow White” animated character. Is this perhaps linked to her “snow white” complexion? Or is it a reflection of her connection to an era of Disney that embodies the purity, wholesomeness, and carefree nature reminiscent of its founder, the legendary Walt Disney?

A few months back, I wrote about the anticipated release of “Snow White.” At that time, it was evident that the studio was trying to manage damage control, mainly because Rachel Zegler kept criticizing her movie with her far-left opinions and provocative statements. If she is dissatisfied with the portrayal of “Snow White,” the inclusion of a prince, and the legacy of the original animated film, then why did she take on the coveted role in the first place? It’s quite frustrating. I urge anyone interested to look up the remaining interviews she has done, as many of them are inflammatory and may have been taken down. Rachel Zegler seems to be a public relations nightmare, and it raises questions about her overall mindset.

FEATURED STORIES

Indeed, it’s concerning to see a young actress in her 20s potentially permanently harming her career with her ridiculous, leftist, outspoken remarks that hold no merit in real life and will do nothing for her movie career, unless, of course, she wants to be recruited into an extremist, activist group or much worse a cult. Haha….

In my opinion, casting her as “Snow White” was a significant mistake. It seems to be more about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) rather than qualifications, skills, and talent. Since the live-action adaptation was announced, I haven’t seen anything in her that stands out positively. Even Gal Gadot, who is playing “The Evil Queen,” has expressed her dissatisfaction with some of the actress’s controversial comments, which veer towards the absurd. Proof of that was when they were together recently at the 2025 Oscars; the tension was palpable, making it one of the most uncomfortable moments in the history of the Academy Awards. It was not a skit or a pre-rehearsed bit; they genuinely do not like each other, and that was seen by millions of people from all over the world. What happened did nothing to hype up or further promote on a positive note their film together.

Many moviegoers did not want this to happen! I was one of those who wanted to watch what it would be like if “Snow White” became a reality, and the closest thing to that was through the cinemas, but not this way, she does not deserve to be called “Snow White.” I wanted the live-action adaptation of ‘Snow White’ to truly shine, surpass any expectations, and reach its full potential.

To be fair, moviegoers were ready to suspend their disbelief and give Rachel Zegler a shot at the sought-after role of ‘Snow White,’ even though she didn’t seem like the best fit physically for such a legendary Disney character. However, once she began to voice her opinion—spouting off some pretty extreme leftist views and openly criticizing the original animated film for the timeless qualities that made it a classic—audiences started to realize that Disney might have made a significant mistake in casting her for this once-in-a-lifetime role which other young actresses would have dreamed to be in. What a pity it went to the wrong actress!

The reality is that there are plenty of other young actresses who not only fit the part better but also wouldn’t approach the role in the divisive manner that Rachel Zegler does. I have seen a ton of her online interviews, I can only shake my head in disbelief at the things she has been saying. For those unaware, she has become one of the most outspoken, radically left, and politically charged woke figures in Hollywood.

What puzzles me is that in the past, when it came to Rachel Zegler promoting, giving interviews, and talking about a film project she was in, she was not like this. What is it with “Snow White” that bugs her so much?

Now, many moviegoers largely view her as The Evil Queen — rather than Gal Gadot. And can anyone blame them? No one. The onscreen roles have seemingly reversed in real life between Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot for their film, where they are the two main stars. Honestly, can anyone truly believe that Rachel Zegler is more beautiful than Gal Gadot? It’s a tough pill to swallow. What makes it worse is that using a major upcoming film like “Snow White” to push forward woke ideology and leftist perspectives seems misguided at the least, a bad career move and crazy on the part of Rachel Zegler.

From a broader perspective, have these actresses forgotten that movies that are woke have begun to flop and become box office bombs? Finally, times are changing, things are reverting to the way they were, and people have begun to awaken from those dark times and seek to enjoy watching normal movies again. And, unfortunately, this “Snow White” movie is the least of their wishes to watch in cinemas with everything that has been revealed about its main star because she can’t learn to keep her mouth shut.

Do you want to hear some of the most recent examples of how bad things have gotten for “Snow White”? Premieres have been canceled, only select media representatives have been invited with a set list of questions, and a special event overseas was even held. There’s hardly anyone eager to purchase tickets in advance to see this film, and who’s to blame for that? Rachel Zegler. Estimates suggest it may pull in only $30 million during its opening, which is shockingly low considering the budget for “Snow White” has soared over $400 million because of reshoots. How on earth can that be recouped? The answer is simple: it can’t. There’s no hope for this film to succeed, and if only the lead actress learned to temper her comments or, better yet, remain quiet, maybe moviegoers would be more excited about it.

The problem has never been about turning “Snow White” into a live-action adaptation itself, but rather the choice of star for the role of “Snow White.” Practically no one likes her, and that disdain is something she has earned for everything awful she has said for more than a year about “Snow White,” which is ironic because she is badmouthing the film in which she has the starring role. Haha…. How smart is that, one wonders?

As a dire consequence, logically, sensibly, and realistically, no one should support a movie featuring a main actress who, despite her prominence, doesn’t seem to realize the immense responsibility that comes with her once-in-a-lifetime role. She must acknowledge how her words, behavior, and mindset can impact audiences and not treat them lightly. If she does not learn now, then she never will and others might continue to follow her lead.

It’s a disaster in the making whose end is near: When a troubled big-budget film such as ‘Snow White’ inevitably struggles at the box office, it’s the lead actress who must shoulder the blame for its outcome. That’s simply the truth of the matter. The marketing, PR team, co-actors, executives, and the head of Disney have done everything they can to lessen the damage she has done to this movie, but to no avail, because she refuses to listen to their advice and to stop it with her woke ideology when it comes to promoting ‘Snow White.’

Indeed, at this point, it is best to get this monstrosity over with, learn from their past mistakes in terms of casting choices, never cast someone like her again, and finally, get rid of the DEI and woke and all that other crap from their system because Disney once meant something, and it is disheartening that the live-action adaptation of their most legendary princess in ‘Snow White’ is going to be dead on arrival because it went to someone who represents zero of what made the original “Snow White” special to begin with and strangely despises the animated Disney princess she is ironically going to depict in a live-action adaptation. What an insane double standard that she has!

On a final note, to the younger generation, if you want to watch “Snow White,” I recommend sticking with the original animated version, which is “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” This way, you can fully appreciate the unparalleled magic of wonder I experienced when I watched it and countless others of my generation and younger ones that came before me. By doing so, the essence of Walt Disney’s storytelling will remain intact, pure, and uncompromised. And, you will get to know who the real “Snow White” is.
