Pia Magalona declares support for Senate hopefuls Pangilinan, Aquino, Mendoza

Pia Magalona, wife of late rapper Francis Magalona, threw her support for senatorial aspirants Kiko Pangilinan, Bam Aquino, and former Commission on Audit (COA) commissioner Heidi Mendoza ahead of the 2025 midterm elections.
Pia made her endorsement through her Instagram page on Thursday, March 20, as she shared a photo with Pangilinan and his wife Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
“Pag may Kiko, may Sharon ka! Mga tinedyer palang, magkakakilala na kami (We’ve known each other since we were teenagers) [hug emoji] Love you, guys!!” she began her caption.
Pia then encouraged voters to vote for candidates that value taxpayers.
“Dear Voters, baka lang naman pwedeng isali sina Kiko, Bam and Heidi sa pag-boto ninyo on May 12, 2025 [kiss and prayer emojis] Thank you. Malaking bagay na tayo’ng mga karaniwang tao mismo ang makinabang sa pinaghirapan nating pera’ng kinikita natin,”
(Dear Voters, maybe you can include Kiko, Bam and Heidi when you vote on May 12, 2025. Thank you. It’s important that we, the common people, benefit from the money we earn.)

Aside from Pia, actress-beauty queen Aya Fernandez also publicized her support for Pangilinan and Aquino after she hosted the duo’s campaign rally in Bacolod.
“Madamo gid nga salamat (Thank you very much), Bacolod!!!! It’s an honor to host the Kiko-Bam campaign rally tonight in the 2nd most populous city in Visayas!! Nag-enjoy din akong matuto ng (I also enjoyed learning) Hiligaynon. I’m in awe of how we may speak different languages, but one thing really binds us all together: HOPE. Ibalik natin Kiko-Bam sa senado (Let’s bring back Kiko-Bam in the Senate),” she captioned her photo with the politicians.

Pangilinan and Aquino also received the endorsement of actress Pinky Amador, who noted that the duo promotes “free education and low price of goods.”
“Sinong #Senador nyo? Syempre duon kami sa walang bahid ng #corruption at masipag magpasa ng batas na nakakatulong sa ating lahat tulad ng libreng edukasyon at mababang presyo ng bilihin,” she wrote alongside the pair’s campaign materials.

Amid several showbiz and media personalities throwing their hats into the Senate race, some other celebrities have remained on the supporting side.
Talent manager and showbiz vlogger Ogie Diaz also endorsed Aquino, Pangilinan and Mendoza. Vice Ganda likewise expressed his support for Pangilinan. Content creator Sassa Gurl publicized her support for Mendoza.
Nadine Lustre, meanwhile, endorsed the bid of the Mamamayang Liberal (ML) party-list led by former Senator Leila de Lima.
