Carlo Aquino, Charlie Dizon spark wedding talk after makeup artist’s post, shoot

Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon sparked wedding rumors after a makeup artist shared a behind-the-scenes photo of their supposed special day.
Aquino and Dizon were said to be planning to tie the knot on Sunday, June 9, after one Xean Nucum Hair and Makeup Artistry uploaded a photo of what seemed to be a makeup session at an executive village in Silang, Cavite.

A romantic shoot of the couple wearing coordinated ensembles of brown and green was also uploaded by Aquino and by photographer Mico Gonzales on Instagram. One intimate photo showed the couple holding hands by the lake, while another showed them enjoying the grassy scenery.
“Unti unti natin gagapangin ang buhay ng nakatawa (Little by little, we will crawl through life smiling),” Aquino captioned his post, while tagging Dizon.

It can be noted that Gonzales described himself as a “wedding photographer” on his Instagram bio.

Wedding gift?
Dizon, however, laughed off wedding talk on the sidelines of the 47th Gawad Urian Awards on Saturday, June 8, when asked by entertainment journalist Gorgy Rula if her Best Actress win can be considered a “wedding gift.”
“Abangan niyo po! Ang masasabi ko lang, best gift siya. Kaya thank you, Lord (Wait for it. What I can say is that it’s the best gift. So thank you, Lord),” she said in response.
The laughing actress was asked again if she was “excited for tomorrow” which made her respond with “Ano pong meron tomorrow (What is the event tomorrow)?”
Rula then responded with “Wedding, siyempre (Wedding, of course)” before the actress was interviewed for her Best Actress win. At the time, she was accompanied by her US-based parents who flew to the country.
“Wedding niyo po ba? Akala niyo wedding eh. Sa inyo na po galing ‘yan! Thank you so much! Bigyan naman natin ng karangalan ang Gawad Urian!” she said. (Is it your wedding? I thought it’s your wedding. That came from you! Thank you so much! Let’s focus on the Gawad Urian!)
Aquino confirmed his relationship with Dizon in January 2023. The latter addressed her “Third World Romance” co-star as her boyfriend six months later.
The actor, who said his relationship with Dizon was “different” from his previous relationships last year, reaffirmed his commitment to the actress in February 2024.
