Angel Locsin ‘enjoying married life’ with Neil Arce, Dimples Romana says

Angel Locsin is taking her time off from the entertainment industry and enjoying her married life with her husband, Neil Arce, according to her close friend and fellow actress Dimples Romana.
Romana gave an update about Locsin’s current whereabouts during an interview with entertainment journalist Kiko Escuadro, while noting that she’s “fond” of people who are “checking up” on Locsin as it comes from a place of “concern” and longing.
“I’m very happy that she is taking this time off kasi nakita mo naman magtrabaho ‘yung taong ‘yun at grabe din ‘yun lumaban pagdating sa pandemya noon. Pagdating sa virus at trahedya, siya ang nauuna doon,” she said. “Lagi kong dasal sa kanya noon, dati, sabi ko sa kanya, please maghinay-hinay ka kasi ‘yung katawan mo. Tayo ay hindi bumabata, baka niyan magkasakit ka.”
(I’m very happy that she is taking this time off because you know how hard she works and fights for what’s right, especially during the past pandemic. When it comes to the virus and tragedies, she’s always first in line. I always pray and tell her, please slow down because your body might give up on you. We’re not young anymore, you might get sick.)

The actress also said that she’s proud of Locsin who chose to take care of herself by enjoying her marriage with husband Neil Arce away from the spotlight.
“Ngayon na inaalagaan niya ang sarili niya, nandyan si Neil, ine-emjoy niya ang married life niya. Tahimik ang buhay niya ang saya-saya ko para sa kanya (Now, she’s taking care of herself, and Neil is there. She’s enjoying her married life. Her life is peaceful and I’m so happy for her),” she said.
Romana pointed out during the interview that even though Locsin is away from the showbiz industry, she continues to extend help to those in need.
“She was very selfless. She was always giving herself. And this time when she chose to remain calm, be in the house, [and] enjoy married life, ‘yun ang sa akin ay kabilib-bilib. It’s a big choice but it’s also a choice that I feel is making her happier,” she said.
“Sa totoo lang si Angel, ito ang nakakatawa diyan kahit missing in action siya, hindi ‘yan MIA sa buhay ng mga taong tinutulungan niya… but I would tell you na kahit hindi mo siya nakikita, hindi ibig sabihin ay hindi siya tumutulong,” she continued.

The “Kadenang Ginto” star also revealed that she was supposed to do a project with Locsin, but it “didn’t materialize” due to the pandemic. Despite this, she wants the latter to “enjoy her time” with Arce.
“I still want her to enjoy her time with Neil. Neil takes very good care of her and I’m very grateful to Neil na inaalagaan niya si Gel that way and I am sure inalaagaan din ni Gel si Neil, happy naman sila,” she said.

Apart from her showbiz career, Locsin remains quiet on social media. Her last X (formerly Twitter) post was made in August 2022, while her Instagram is currently set to private.
The actress was last seen in Arce’s Instagram post in November 2022, which came days after the latter denied rumors of their split. /ra
