All seemed well now between Francine Diaz and Andrea Brillantes despite the issues between them in the past, but the stars have yet to align for these two hottest young actresses of ABS-CBN whose busy schedules prevent them from pushing through with a Gold Squad reunion.

Gold Squad is a subgroup of young stars who headlined the successful Kapamilya teleserye, “Kadenang Ginto,” namely, Diaz, Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, and  Kyle Echarri.

Diaz and Fedelin are part of the new game show on ABS-CBN called “It’s Your Lucky Day,” hosted by Luis Manzano, which will temporarily replace the noontime show “It’s Showtime,” as it serves its 12-day suspension by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

Brillantes and Echarri will reportedly make a guest appearance on the show although the dates are yet to be disclosed.

Diaz and Fedelin claimed scheduling conflict is complicating the foursome’s possible reunion.

“Hindi rin po namin alam kase ‘yung mga schedule namin, hindi talaga nagtugma (We don’t know when they will appear because our schedules don’t match at all),” Diaz said when asked when their reunion will happen during the screening of the web series “Fractured.”

“Sina Blythe at Kyle, nagfi-film ng ‘Senior High,’ maraming ginagawa so mahirap po talaga [magkatagpo]. Kagaya po ng [schedules namin ni Francine], may mga araw na absent ako at nand’un si Francine,” he said.

Shortly after Gold Squad was formed by ABS-CBN in 2020, the Kapamilya stars eventually went on their separate paths in 2021.

Tension arose among the squad members when fans noticed that Brillantes and Diaz unfollowed each other on Instagram in January 2022.

This was followed by reports that Brillantes confronted Diaz in a dressing room amid reports that Fedelin, the former’s then onscreen partner, was courting her.

Diaz’s manager then denied there was any courtship between his ward and Fedelin. However, as Brillantes’ fans continued to bash Diaz, her mother called out the former for supposed “bullying.”

In April 2022, Brillantes decided to come clean to say that she and Fedelin were in a relationship for two years before breaking up in October 2021.

While they ended their relationship “on good terms,” the ex-couple promised to continue working with each other, and love each other “as a friend.” Brillantes’ admission came after she became official with actor-basketball player Ricci Rivero.
