Amid the dating rumors hounding her and Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Caelan Tiongson, Aiah Arceta of P-pop girl group BINI appealed for kindness as she pointed out how “many people can misunderstand so many things.”

Aiah has been romantically linked to Tiongson after she was spotted watching the recent games of Rain or Shine, the latter’s PBA team.

Tiongson, who reportedly also attended a BINI concert, revealed in a One Sports interview that he and Aiah met through a mutual friend. He described her as a great person but opted not to “speak about her personal life anymore than that.”

Aiah, in a lengthy post shared via her X page on Thursday, March 6, then addressed the public and said she’s “aware of what has been happening lately.”

“It’s interesting to see how it has become such a big deal for some, along with the multiple theories circulating about it. It’s also fascinating to observe how quickly noise can grow and how many people can misunderstand so many things,” she said.

“I also notice that almost everyone I hang out with or surround myself with gets linked, no matter who they are whether it’s a friend, a superior, or even a relative which I find is unfortunate,” she lamented.

The girl group member said that while she usually just lets things be, the recent noise prompted her to speak up as it has already affected the people she values.

“It pains me to see that the people who make me feel safe, calm, and normal, and those who contribute to my happiness are being ridiculed and made fun of online. My friends have been such a great help to me, especially lately, and I think they don’t deserve the hate,” she said.

“There are so many sides and truths that people don’t see, and I just hope we can all be kind to one another because kindness is free, and we all need it,” she reminded the public.

Aiah also included in her post a photo of her pet dog Honey and quipped, “Sabi daw ni Honey baka siya naman na mabalita this time kasi mahilig din naman siyang manood ng mga aso na naglalaro,” seemingly alluding to the headlines about her watching Tiongson’s basketball games.

Meanwhile, in a separate post on her Instagram Stories, Aiah gave a glimpse of her recent “chill card game night” along with several companions including Tiongson.

“I’d like to commend and honor this bunch of gentlemen who kept Sab and me safe and secure the entire night. It’s beautiful to witness and experience a space that makes us feel safe and calm,” she said in the caption.
