BTS’ V drops first solo album: ‘I think you’ll be able to find a new side of V’
Kim Tae-hyung, also known as V from BTS, says his fans would find a brand new side of him as he just released his much-anticipated solo album “Layover” today, Sept. 8.
In an article from The Korea Times, the “Christmas Tree” singer expresses, “working on this album was just a process of finding myself.”
As the famous idol singer dedicated considerable effort to encapsulate his true self in his first solo album, he remarks, “I think you’ll be able to find a new side of V and might say, “I didn’t know he had that side.”
“Layover” contains six songs, “Rainy Days,” “Blue,” “Love Me Again,” “Slow Dancing,” “For Us” including a bonus track which is a piano version of “Slow Dancing.”
According to BigHit Music, the album’s title directly signifies a period of time when a traveler stops at an intermediate location to rest before continuing to the final destination, which is something V resonates deeply with. “I’ve always been very flashy on stage, but this time I tried hard to show you my true colors by stripping away the flashy elements.”
Accompanying the release of the album is a music video of the title track “Slow Dancing,” which is now available for streaming on YouTube. V tells in the video released to the media that ARMYs would love “Slow Dancing” the most.
