Bea Alonzo didn’t mind helping Kyline Alcantara hold her birthday cake
Bea Alonzo set the record straight on the “cake-holding” issue that made rounds on social media, where she was supposedly made to hold the birthday cake for fellow Kapuso artist Kyline Alcantara during an episode of “All-Out Sunday” last Sept. 3.
During Alcantara’s birthday celebration on the show, the “Start-Up PH” actress helped the birthday girl hold her cake as she spoke on the microphone to thank her sponsors and fans.
This, however, raised some eyebrows among avid fans who took to social media to express their displeasure over the encounter, while others accused GMA of not treating the Alonzo properly.
But Alonso did not seem to mind being Alcantara’s “assistant” at the time.

Naaawa kasi ako kay Kyline na hindi niya mahawakan ang microphone niya kaya kinuha ko na lang ‘yung cake para makapag-thank you naman siya sa sponsors niya,’” Jhai Ho quoted Alonzo as saying. (Bea said, “Hahahaha, I just saw it now. I felt bad for Kyline as she couldn’t hold her microphone. I chose to hold the cake so she can thank her sponsors”.)

The “A Second Chance” transferred to GMA in July 2021, after about 20 years of being under ABS-CBN’s wing. After moving to the Kapuso network, she was cast as the lead in “Start-Up PH” and made guest appearances in the shows “Magpakailanman” and “Pepito Manaloto.”
Alonzo is set to appear in the upcoming show “Love Before Sunrise,” which marks her reunion with Dennis Trillo. EDV
