Preemptive move backfires on troublesome celeb
Troublesome Chap (TC) has nowhere to go now that his Biggest Backer (BB) has left their company. TC resigned shortly after BB left, but people within their circle were sure this was to preempt the company’s decision to fire him. He was never the well-loved personality like BB, who the company had never wanted to let go.
Now, industry insiders are waiting for TC’s next move, since they don’t expect him to transfer to a rival company after he had a falling out with some of its officials and employees a few years back. The lesson from TC’s story? It really pays to be nice.
